Step 1: From the Apple Menu, choose system preferences -> Print and Fax
Step 2: Underneath the list of available printers already on your Mac, click on the plus sign to add another printer

- On the top menu bar of this next window, make sure that “IP” is selected, and that under protocol is says “Line Printer Daemon, LPD”.

- The printer you added will show up in your list of available printers.
- From the main “Print and Fax” window, highlight the printer and choose “Options & Supllies” > General tab to edit the printer name, location and view the IP address.

Select your printer driver or 'Generic Postscript' from the 'Use' drop-down list. Click 'Add.'
